Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory of personality and communication developed by Eric Berne and others in the 1950’s and 60’s. The theory was built on existing psychoanalytic concepts, incorporating humanistic and cognitive ideas. TA works from the premise that human beings are essentially “OK”, capable of deciding what they want for their own lives and have the capacity for healing.
My approach incorporates TA principles and integrates other approaches to psychotherapy including psychodynamic, gestalt, existential and transpersonal. Most importantly, I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable and supported in sharing painful issues.
